Fella Dolby grew up playing baseball, was recruited as a D1 catcher for the University of Maryland, and then played in the MiLB as a pitcher for the Atlanta Braves. Fella has numerous years of travel softball coaching experience through the national level and is a professional trainer at SixFour3 in Ashburn. He and his wife Colleen successfully raised three children - Alexa, Camryn, and Bryce. They also navigated their children through the recruiting process where all three were recruited to play softball and baseball at the D1 college level. Fella recently took over as head coach of the Athletics Mercado Dolby 2030 team in the spring of 2025 after former head coach and his daughter Camryn was hired as a Georgetown University Assistant Coach. However, Fella has coached, trained, and developed the players on the team for the last 3 years, most recently leading them to place 6th at a national level tournament. Fella coaches to bring out the best in players who have a passion for the sport, to share his expertise and what it takes to compete, and to help them reach their goals to play at the most competitive levels.
