Head Coach

Jason Davis

Coach Davis, with over two decades of experience coaching softball and football at various competition levels, from 6u recreation to High School Varsity, has recently shifted his focus to the 16u level. This transition has positioned him to now assist High School Softball players in refining their fundamentals while competing fiercely at the 16u level. His teams are known for constantly striving for improvement and never letting anyone outwork them. Beginning in the early 2000’s, Coach Davis served as a head strength and conditioning coach at the AAA Division 6 Varsity level while being head J.V. Football Coach. His coaching career began immediately after competing collegiately in football at multiple levels, including NCAA Division One. His teams embody the motto, “Good, better, best. Never rest until your good becomes better and your better becomes best.” As the head coach of Shooting Stars 16u Davis, Coach Davis and his team will be known for their disciplined approach and aggressive style of play, pushing opposing teams to their limits.

Matt Wiechmann

Coach Matt Wiechmann has over a decade of experience coaching travel softball, primarily with the Loudoun Inferno organization and more recently with Ashburn Shooting Stars. Over the years his teams have shown consistent improvement, becoming strong A-level competitors at the regional level. As a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), Matt is dedicated to continuously learning and refining his coaching skills to give the players the best experience possible. He believes in an aggressive offensive approach and focuses on a strong team defense to elevate the team’s performance. But most importantly, Matt strives to make sure the game remains a fun and positive experience for every player, on and off the field.

Greg Robosky

From a young age, sports have been my passion, drawn by the energy, competition, and teamwork they inspire. Coaching allows me to share this love, helping athletes grow both on and off the field. With over a decade of experience, I've coached a wide range of youth sports, focusing on building teamwork, fostering resilience, and boosting confidence. I'm an alumnus of West Virginia University and have spent over 30 years in the automotive industry. My love for the outdoors is a big part of my life, as I enjoy hiking and riding motorcycles, ATVs, and wave runners with my family. Recently, I married my childhood friend, Jennifer, a former Division I softball player. We now have a blended family of eight children, and our five dogs complete Team Robo. I love that sports teach you how to overcome adversity and failure, which forces you to work hard to achieve your goals. I belive in the power of sports to change lives, and I'm grateful to play a part in that journey.

Josh Utterback

Coach Josh began coaching after his daughter fell in love with softball, and he wanted to spend more time with her at the field. Since then, he's coached house league teams and also spent a season as a first base coach for a travel team. He believes that sports are a powerful way for kids to learn and grow, both on and off the field. His goal is to help every player learn how to overcome adversity and develop into a well-rounded athlete and a confident person. Josh believes watching players find their passion and discover their potential is what makes coaching so rewarding.
