Dan Osgood

Coach Dan has been coaching softball for over 20 plus years, bringing passion, mentorship, and competitive spirit to every team he has been a part of. As a proud husband and father of four, he’s watched three of his daughters grow through the ranks of AGSL and the Shooting Stars over the past 25 years. His coaching philosophy centers on building players up, being a great teammate, and making an impact on and off the field. 
Dan’s commitment to youth sports is rooted in family, community, and the belief that every player has a story worth celebrating! Whether guiding a championship run or encouraging the athlete to work outside their comfort zone, he leads with heart and purpose.

Mike Murray

Coach Mike has been coaching softball for the last 5 years, first as an assistant in LGSL, then at Harper Park Middle School, and took on a head coaching role within the Shooting Stars organization in 2024-25. He played baseball growing up but has come to appreciate the speed and strategy that makes softball unique. Coach Mike places an emphasis on the fundamentals of the game, situational awareness, and doing the small things correctly.
In his spare time, Coach Mike enjoys family time with his wife and 4 kids, traveling, golf, and cooking.

Karl Schwanda

Coach Karl has been coaching high level softball and basketball as a head coach and assistant coach for over 10 years. He played baseball throughout his youth, and at the collegiate level at NC Wesleyan University. Coach Karl brings his knowledge and passion for sports, as well as his leadership and motivational skills to all of his players. He strives to help every player he coaches become a better player, and most importantly, a better person.

Jim Sayers

I started watching softball 30 years ago when my father in law was Coaching, and when our daughter starting playing I fell in love with the speed of the game.  I've been coaching youth sports since 2012, and enjoy my role as a resource for our young ladies.  In my spare time I enjoy hiking and spending family time in Maine every summer.
